Moreover the resistance of the Pilates ring can be gradually increased for a difficult workout. It is difficult to workout with extremely high resistance and this can also cause severe injury. Therefore it is important to consult the Pilates teacher before making any changes to the resistance.

The Pilates ring was mainly designed for helping those who could not perform the exercise standing or are confined to bed. The advantages of using the Pilates ring is that it can be used on any body part while sitting or lying position. In such cases the Pilates ring can be used on the arms, buttocks or legs with ease.
