Triceps Workouts

Tricep workouts are designed to train the tricep muscles. Tricep is the larger muscles in the arm in comparison to the biceps. Tricep workouts are done before training the chest and back muscles.

Some of the most known tricep workouts are following.

  1. Lying tricep extension
  2. Close grip bench press
  3. Dumbbell curl
  4. One arm tricep extension
  5. One arm push down
  6. Tricep dips

Some rules to be followed for tricep extension

There are recommendations for the triceps workouts. First, while following the workout program it is advisable to do the triceps workout in the week end. There should be a gap of at least two days between the chest and triceps workouts. Triceps workout is usually done two days after the chest or back workouts. Secondly, the order of the triceps workouts should not be same all the time. The order of the exercise should be changed every week. In every second week the primary exercises should be repeated for the both the biceps and triceps. Thirdly, consistency is the most important thing for any triceps workout session. If the workouts are intense the splitting of these w3oirkouts may be good solution to the workouts easy to be done. Moreover 3 or 4 days in a week are enough for the triceps muscles. One day gap may be inserted between the days of workout sessions. One day off give the muscles the required time to take rest and save them from overstretch.
Moreover progression in the workout routine is also essential. To tone the body to use its maximum potential it is necessary to add some weight lifting exercises in the triceps workouts. Supersets are said to be the most effective method for triceps workouts though it works the whole arm. In the superset workouts work both triceps and bicep muscles giving no rest to them. In this condition the triceps muscle fibers are worked enough to get thicker and strong. Super sets are basically isolation workouts and work the muscles back to back in isolation.

Therefore they are supposed to be very effective and give best result. Tri sets are also supposed to be good for triceps muscles. Tri sets consist of three exercises. All these exercise are targeted to the same muscles. This is proved productive for the muscles and the result is shown in shorter period. Multi grip exercises are also beneficial for the triceps. Here ant three exercises are selected involving palm down, palm up and palm facing. The order of the multi grip exercise should be from weak to the strong grip exercise. These exercises also work wonder in case of triceps muscle. Here one more important issue related to the triceps workouts is the training. A proper training for workouts is necessary which make the success inevitable. And lastly the warm up exercises can not be ignored before beginning the triceps workouts to make body prepare for the hard and intense workouts.
